Finish the week off strong!

KEVIN DURANT

Kevin Durant Gives The Nets Owner an Ultimatum

Kevin Durant recently had a face-to-face meeting with Nets owner Joe Tsai where he issued a bold ultimatum regarding his future with the franchise. His message was simple: the Nets either need to trade him or fire their GM and coach.

Most people have viewed this meeting as KD's way of reigniting the stalled trade talks, but his pointed comments toward his coach and GM have surprised everyone. It's widely understood that KD had significant input on bringing in Nash as head coach, and while he can certainly change his opinion, he continued to publicly support Nash as the season ended. As for Marks, there’s less known about their dynamic, but no one would argue the GM didn’t do his best to appease Durant. Whether that was signing his friend Deandre Jordan or executing a blockbuster trade to bring in James Harden.

Joe Tsai didn’t waste much time after news of Kevin’s ultimatum got out, and responded on Twitter by saying: "Our front office and coaching staff have my support. We will make decisions in the best interest of the Brooklyn Nets." Durant clearly wants out of Brooklyn, but with four years left on his deal and the lack of substantial trade packages, the Nets are going to take their time.

LEBRON JAMES

A Concerned Lebron James Meets with Front Office

LeBron James and his agent Rich Paul recently had an hour-long meeting with Lakers GM Rob Pelinka and head coach Darvin Ham to discuss the direction of the team, according to reports out of Yahoo Sports. The majority of the meeting was about “expressing concerns, and hearing out strategies and opinions to assure there wouldn't be a repeat of last season's epic failure."

One interesting note to come from the meeting was Darvin Ham saying they intend to run the offense through Anthony Davis, something James is on board with.

While the subject of LeBron’s looming two-year, $97.1 million extension was naturally discussed, it was not at the forefront of the discussion. Pelinka reportedly reiterated that he wants LBJ to retire as a Laker and promised to support his championship pursuit. But until King James puts pen to paper, the LeBron rumors will run rampant this coming season. The meeting was said to be productive and informative.

MICHAEL JORDAN

Michael Jordan's Iconic "Last Dance" Jersey Could Fetch $5M at Auction

Sotheby’s is auctioning a game-worn Michael Jordan jersey used during Game 1 of the 1998 NBA Finals, and it’s expected to sell for millions! MJ balled out while wearing this jersey, leading all players in scoring with 33 points on 44.8% shooting in a narrow loss to the Utah Jazz.

Sotheby’s expects a record-breaking sale given the jersey was used during Jordan’s “Last Dance” season and the fact that this is only MJ's second game-worn NBA Finals jersey to sell at auction.
